More than hundreds of Senior Citizens gathered for a day of fun, entertainment and information at the Fab & Fit at 60 at SM City Pampanga The Event Center.
SM Cares, a division of SM Foundation Inc., under the Senior Citizens Program headed by Committed Chairman Danny Chavez recently concluded a Fab & Fit at 60, a Zumba Dance Contest for Senior Citizens. This gives the senior citizens a venue to show off their talents and a comfortable place to get together and do their activities at SM. Hundreds of attendees represented from five different barangays in the City of San Fernando joined in the fun and competed for the best Zumba dancers. Bagging the 1st Place is Barangay Malino followed by Barangay Northville and Barangay Sindalan for 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Other barangays who participated are Barangay San Nicolas and Barangay Lourdes.
More than the performances, an essential talk from Dra. Mary Libeney Canlas- Sito, currently the Visiting Consultant at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center, shares her personal experience on the importance of good health. As she herself had a stroke twice and with partial blindness, she considered herself to be a Person with Disability. “I am PWD, but never a disability. To stay strong & to be healthy is the greatest wealth,” shares Sito.
