LUBAO – The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Pampanga will give P50,000 worth of free trainings, as part of the First Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summit conducted in this town recently.
In line with this, ex-officio Board Member Moshe Lacson, SK Federation President, tied up with RiceUp Farmers Inc. and Brigham Young Hawaii – Enactus, a group of students from different countries, for this purpose.
According to Board Member Lacson, the summit would help the youth in boosting their interest in enterprises, in terms of agriculture.
“The youth should understand the importance of Social Entrepreneurship as a career, a lifestyle, and a platform for sustainable projects,” he furthered.
For the young SK President, the council must be focused on long term programs that will give benefits to the community.
“Let’s create a network of young leaders in the province that also considers entrepreurship to eradicate poverty, unemployment, etc,” he added.
This will create jobs, according to him, which the Provincial Government led by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda is prioritizing.
“We are honored for their support in the council. For Vice Gov. Pineda, now that the development is here in Pampanga, beneficiaries must be Kapampangan youth. This is also the Vice Governor’s vision to capacitate the SKs,” he said.
During the event, participants learned how to create a business canvass, models and plans to pitch their social enterprises.
“With this summit, youth leaders will be able to know how to create a business canvass, create business models and plans, and learn how to pitch their social enterprises,” the SK President reiterated.
Meanwhile, Board Member Lacson also thanked the Provincial Government as well as the partners, for extending help and concern to Kapampangan youth.
“This is for them, our Kabataan Kapampangang magbubukid at magsasaka. Given that a number of our Kapampangan Youth greatly depends on the agricultural sector, we want to prioritize them,” he added. —
