BALANGA CITY, July 8 (PIA) — Social Security System (SSS) urges delinquent employers to avail their penalty condonation program.
In a radio interview, SSS Balanga Branch Head Joel Villafuerte said they have started to accept application for the program.
“I am calling those employers who have shortcomings on paying the contributions of their employees to visit our office and take advantage of this program,” Villafuerte said.
The program aims to waive penalties of delinquent employers who have unpaid contributions.
“Penalties shall be condoned if employers who face pending cases will apply until September 6 only,” he added.
The SSS official also warned employers who fail to remit contributions may face criminal charges.
Employees who want to file complaints against their employers may visit the nearest SSS branch. (CLJD/MJSD-PIA 3)
