Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab is the new Pampanga Mayors League (PML) president.
Cayabyab appealled to all mayors to unite, even as they came from different political parties, to promote Pampanga.
The 3rd-term mayor also said that as the newly elected PML president, she is open to suggestions and recommendations for the betterment of Pampanga and the league itself.
“Gusto ko po panatilihin ang pagkakaisa ng ating mga kasamahang mayors at nandito po ako para umantabay sa kanila,” Cayabyab added.
Cayabyab also vowed to support newbie mayors, as she proposed to convene a meeting with their department heads to prevent miscommunication in running the affairs of every local government unit.
Gov. Lilia Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis Pineda were also present during the oathtaking of Cayabyab as PML president.
Other officials who took oath in the presence of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Myrvi Fabia were PML Executive Vice President Arayat Mayor Bon Alejandrino; VP for 1st district Magalang Mayor Malou Lacson; VP for 2nd district Guagua Mayor Dante Torres; VP for 3rd district Mexico Mayor Teddy Tumang; VP for 4th district San Simon Mayor Leonora Wong; Secretary General Minalin Mayor Edgar Flores; Treasurer Macabebe Mayor Annete Balgan; Auditor Porac Mayor Carling dela Cruz; PRO San Luis Mayor Asyong Macapagal; and Business Manager Candaba Mayor Boy Baylon.
Meanwhile, PML Directors are Mayors Darwin Manalansan (Floridablanca) ; Nardo Velasco (Sasmuan); Jomar Hizon (Bacolor); John Sambo (Sto.Tomas); Peter Nucom (Apalit); Dan Guinto (Masantol); Norberto Gamboa (Sta.Ana); and Dagi Salalila (Sta. Rita).
