Orani town conducts 1st tour guiding tilt

As part of the celebration of Tourism Month, the Municipality of Orani recently held a first-ever Tour Guiding Competition among public and private schools at the Multi-Purpose Gym here.

The said contest was participated by 19 schools – 15 elementary schools and 4 secondary schools; with their representatives, coaches, principals, teachers and even parents.

According to Tourism Operations Office II Kristine Grace Zulueta, the objective of the said activity is to enrich the knowledge and awareness of the youth on the importance of Tourism in terms of culture, products, and tourist spots in the vicinity.

Danyelle M. Bagang of the Orani North Elementary School (ONES) was hailed as the winner for the elementary level, while Loren Angel T. Villaruel of Paraiso Elementary School (PES), and Gabrielle Denisse M. Galicia of Holy Rosary Parochial Institute (HRPI) bagged the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

Meanwhile, for the secondary level, Orani National High School – Main student Andre Lleyton C. Credo bagged 1st place; Georgette Princess Yvonne R. Gatdula of Orani National Highschool – Parang-Parang got 2nd place; and Mariella Louisse G. Limpin of HRPI, 3rd place.

Each winner received cash incentives and certificates from Mayor Efren ‘Bondjong’ Pascual Jr. He then thanked the Provincial Government of Bataan, especially the Provincial Tourism Office, led by Alicia Pizzaro, for the support.

Also attending the event were District Supervisor Arlene Carlos, Juliet Allegra Blanas, Leslie Jorge, and Danica Lolita Tigas who served as the judges.
