HERMOSA, Bataan — Former Bataan Provincial Board Member, now consultant of the Provincial Government of Bataan and showbiz personality, Dexter Teri Onor Dominguez led Thursday the groundbreaking ceremonies of earthquake-proof, typhoon-proof and PWD-friendly school buildings in the municipalities of Dinalupihan and Hermosa.
Dominguez was joined by Dr. Boyet Castaneda (representing 1st District Congresswoman Geraldine Roman), Councilor Shery DeAusen (representing Mayor Gila Garcia of Dinalupihan), former mayor and board member Gaudencio Ferrer, Atty. Anne Adorable-Inton (representing Mayor Jopet Inton of Hermosa), DPWH officials, Bataan SK Federation President, Board Member Precious Manuel, Board Member Bong Galicia, village chiefs, DepEd representatives, school heads and teachers.
Bokal Teri added that most of the buildings being constructed right now, thru the Department of Education’s Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF), will have its own water tanks and reservoir, electric generators, and comfort rooms for PWDs.
At present the project costs more than P200 million for the First District of Bataan and another P600 million for the Second District of Bataan.
These projects according to Bokal Teri, as he is fondly called by friends and supporters, were made possible thru the help of Congresswoman Geraldine Roman, Congressman Joet Garcia, Governor Abet Garcia, Department of Education and Department of Public Works and Highways.
“Her (Bokal Teri) commitment (to public service) transcends beyond her term as an elected official,” Atty Anne Inton said during her speech at the Balsik National High School.
Meanwhile, a DPWH official also lauded Dominguez’s efforts in bringing more projects for his province.
“Ngayon lang po nangyari ito sa public works, ganoon kabilis yung pag-release ng pondo para dito, legacy po ito ni Bokal Teri,” Engr. Del Baluyot of Bataan DPWH 1st Engineering District added.
