The National Shrine of the Divine Mercy Parish Church located in Barangay Sta Rosa 1 in Marilao, Bulacan will celebrate its twenty-fifth year of consecration this Saturday (November 30).
The celebration dubbed as “Biyayang Awa: Pasasalamat, Pagtitiwala, at Pagmamahal” will commence with a Holy Mass at 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM and the High Mass at 9:00 AM to be administered by Bishop Dennis Villarojo of the Diocese of Malolos at the said parish church.
After the mass, the inauguration and blessing of the 5-storey building of the House of Mercy will be held wherein on top of it can be seen the 100-foot statue of the Divine Mercy, the tallest statue image of Divine Mercy on earth.
Former Bishop of the Diocese of Caloocan Deogracias S. Iñiguez, Jr. will administer the 3:00 o’clock Holy Mass followed by a procession in honor of the Divine Mercy.
At night, one of the much-awaited activity with the celebration of the feast is the lighting of the 100-ft statue of the Divine Mercy followed by a program dubbed as Gabi ng Pinilakang Parangal”.
During the preparation of the 25th anniversary, a nine-day novena was also held every 6:00 PM wherein on Wednesday the Parish Church also celebrates “Red Wednesday” in memory of the 300 million martyrs who dedicate their lives for faith.
