Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) acting director PCol. Emma Libunao relieved the platoon leader and four others for abandoning their duties at the 3rd Maneuver Platoon of the Bulacan First Police Provincial Mobile Force Company (1stPPMFC) in Bocaue, Bulacan on Friday.
The relieved officers were identified as PCapt. Norheda Usman, Platoon Leader; PMSgt. Siegfried Dizon, PSSgt. Benjamin Villasis Jr., Pat. Ronald Manzanade Jr and Pat. Imee Sheryl Florentino all assigned in Bulacan PPO-1stPPMFC-3rd Maneuver Platoon based in Barangay Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Col. Libunao said, on early Friday morning around 6 am, she arrived at the 3rd Maneuver Platoon Office for inspection but was surprised to see not a single police personnel on duty was around.
It was also learned that prior to the inspection of Libunao, the Provincial Internal Affairs Service (PIAS) have conducted an inspection in Usman’s office a few days ago wherein no police personnel was found on duty.
Libunao said that Usman is now under floating status and will be replaced by PLtCol. Anthony Manglo.
The precinct of Usman is located in the so-called Fireworks Capital area of the country that is on a high alert status due to the influx of fireworks enthusiasts buying pyrotechnic products for the New Year celebrations.
Besides abandoning her post, Usman has not yet replaced the police directory in front of their office with Gen. Oscar Albayalde still listed as the PNP chief, Libunao added.
