MALOLOS CITY (PIA) — Army 48th Infantry Battalion (48IB) oriented barangay officials in Matictic, Norzagaray town on Executive Order No.70 otherwise known as whole-of-nation approach to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC).
Topics discussed during the activity include roles of the barangay related to ELCAC, convergence efforts of all government agencies to address issues and concerns and delivery of basic services down to the barangay.
48IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Feliex Emeterio Valdez gave emphasis on the role of the barangay officials as he believes that they are the most respected and influential personality in their area.
“It is through them that we are able to extend government and its services by uniting the effort with them,” Valdez added.
