MORONG, Bataan — Municipal governments of Morong and Bagac ordered a temporary closure of all types of resorts due to the threat posed by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Resorts in Morong will be closed to tourists and visitors starting Monday, March 16 until April 14 or until further notice.
“This is for strict compliance. The general welfare and safety of everyone is our utmost concern. Let us all help and do our part in fighting this deadly virus,” Morong Mayor Cynthia Estanislao said in a statement.
In Bagac town, Mayor Rommel Del Rosario prohibited all resorts, hotels and similarly hospitality businesses to admit guests coming from outside of the town starting Monday, March 16, until further notice.
Moreover, business establishments are encouraged to adopt a four-day workweek schedule for the welfare of their employees.
