The Provincial Government of Pampanga, led by Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, ordered the Philippine flag at the Capitol grounds to be lowered half-mast in honor of Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, the Pampanga provincial health officer who passed away on Tuesday night after showing COVID-19 symptoms.
Governor Pineda said Dr. Jaochico was a Kapampangan modern hero because of his dedicated service as a medical front liner who risked his life to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
