Pampanga Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda sent home the 16 Kapampangan workers who were stranded in Bicol because of the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in the entire Luzon.
Governor Pineda said these workers just wanted to go home to their respective families.
One of the workers sent a personal message to Provincial Administrator Atty. Charlie Chua seeking for rescue and assistance to go home to Masantol, Pampanga since the lockdown affected their livelihood in Sorsogon City, Bicol which resulted to ‘no work, no pay’ basis.
Pineda immediately issued a travel pass that granted the workers an authority to go home to the province.
Ken Bunda, one of the rescued workers, expressed his gratitude to the Governor through his Facebook post.
“Maraming salamat po Gov. Pineda sa patuloy ninyong pagtulong sa mga kagaya naming nangangailangan ng inyong supporta. Taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa walang sawang pagtulong ninyo sa aming kababayan at nasasakupan,” he wrote.
In his post, he also cited the efforts of Provincial Administrator Atty. Chua, as well as Masantol town Mayor Danilo Guinto.
“Mabilis po silang gumawa ng aksyon para makauwi kami sa aming mga pamilya,” he said.
