BALANGA CITY – The city administrator of the capital city of Bataan died on Friday afternoon in a hospital in Pampanga, a local official confirmed.
Rudy de Mesa, 57, was reportedly listed as a person under investigation (PUI) for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19, according to Hermosa Mayor Antonio “Jopet” Inton who relayed the report to newsmen here.
Mayor Inton said it was not immediately known how De Mesa acquired the virus.
Before he became the city administrator of Balanga City, De Mesa also served as provincial administrator of Bataan LGU during the reign of the late Bataan Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia, Jr. (MHIKE CIGARAL)
