Amidst the ugly crisis brought upon by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Jeffrey del Mundo, CEO of Del Mundo Prime Holdings Corporation, mobilized his entire business units to an outreach program called “CALL HOW – Help on Wheels”.
This initiative was set in motion to help alleviate the pain and sufferings of both the urban poor and our front liners, wherein basic needs such as grocery packs, water bottles and alcohol supplies were provided. The group, consisting of the different business units under Del Mundo Prime Holdings Corporation, was led by the Del Magnificos which also provided ice boxes, facial wipes and face towels to all personnels of four major Angeles City checkpoints.
Meanwhile, Mias Lacuarta, an active member of Del Magnificos, snowballed a campaign to reproduce face shields and has been donating to various hospitals such as JBL Provincial Hospital, AUF Medical Center, Ospital ning Angeles, to name a few.
This community outreach project was called upon the invitation of Dr. Bong Alvaro, a known philanthropist and the Chairman of Clark Investors and Locators Association( CILA), who encouraged all private enterprises to help and adopt a community in these trying times. Also, this venture would not have been possible without the help and contributions of these institutions, namely, BBI Group of Companies, Bridges of Benevolent Initiatives Foundation(BBIF), Midori Hotel and Casino, Eaglesky Technology Amusement Inc., Aqua Planet, MIREJ Hotel Clark, IMEREX Plaza Hotel, Mindave Spa, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation(PAGCOR) and CALL MOW where it’s resources were pooled in and responded as CALL HOW- Help on Wheels.
Del Mundo Prime Holdings Corporation is committed to provide social assistance geared towards community enhancement and productivity.
Together, “We are Stronger as One Nation against COVID-19”, del Mundo pointed out.
To add, “Charity begins at home”, says Mr. Del Mundo. Before the start of the enhanced community quarantine, the management assured its employees of full compensation even without work and closure of all its business establishments. They were also given immune booster shots to strengthen their body immune system.
DM employees volunteered to contribute their time to help facilitate the outreach program efforts to communities who badly needs help and most especially our modern day heroes – the front liners in this global crisis that we are facing now.
“The culture of volunteerism and being of service to others are the core values of DM Prime. We will continue to identify beneficiaries and facilitate their actual needs, especially the front liners so they may continue to serve our nation and help the government address this crisis“, GM Steve Jay dela Cruz added.
“For those who would like to help, Del Magnificos’ lines are open to accept any form of donation. These will be included to our list of inventories as we do not know yet when this crisis will end”, announced by Project Director Wilson Malig
