ANGELES CITY — City government of Angeles has earmarked PhP5 million as financial assistance to about 5,000 persons with disabilities (PWDs).
“Each PWD will receive PhP1,000 cash assistance. This is apart from the cash assistance that will be provided to them under the national government’s Social Amelioration Program,” Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr said.
“The PWDs will not be left behind in the relief operations being conducted by the city government as the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) enters its 3rd week,” Lazatin stressed.
ECQ, meant to curb the rising number of cases of coronavirus disease, will be implemented in the entire Luzon from March 17 to April 13.
