The Orani Local Government Unit, led by Mayor Efren ‘Bondjong’ Pascual Jr., started its third wave of food assistance distribution to its 29 barangays on April 13, 2020.
One cavan of rice (25 kilos), one pack of vegetables, and assorted canned goods will be distributed via house-to-house to all families in Orani.
Mayor Pascual will also provide cash assistance to the Barangay Council and Barangay Tanod for their dedication and service since Day 1 of the community quarantine.
Pascual is also appealing to his constituents to stay at home to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID 19).
“Isa lang ang pakiusap ng ating pamahalaan sa pamamahagi na ito, ang manatili tayong lahat sa bawat tahanan upang makaiwas at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa ating bayan,” he said.
The municipality will roll out the distribution today in the Barangays of Pantalan Luma, Tenejero, Wawa, Silahis, Balut, Masantol, Calero, Pacar and Centro II.
According to the Mayor, the LGU already distributed food packs and native chicken to all families in Orani during the first and second series of distribution.
