ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. has ordered the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) to apprehend violators of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) protocols.
Lazatin said in a statement last April 14, 2020 that mobile police will patrol around the City to monitor if there are individuals engaging in leisure activities outside their homes, which are prohibited during the quarantine.
He also directed the barangay officials to prohibit public consumption of alcohol; playing basketball and other sports activities; loitering; and reprimand individuals who are not wearing face masks in public.
Violators will be reprimanded and asked to return to their homes.
Ing ninu man akit da atyu lual bale, tatambay o lilibut na alang susulud face masks, dakpan da saka de paulyan,” he furthered.
“Pairalan tana pu ing disiplina para pu mayari ne ing pandemic ayni,” he added.
This stemmed after an assessment by ACPO concluded that people usually gather in essential establishments, without proper social distancing and not wearing of face masks.
In line with the City Government’s stricter enforcement of quarantine provisions, one person is only allowed to go outside to purchase basic necessities and other emergency needs.
Lazatin is also appealing to the essential establishments managers and security teams to help implement the rules of the ECQ.
