CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Six buildings in the civic center allotted for the management of COVID-19 cases were inspected and assessed on Friday.
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Dr. Renely P. Tungol, City Infectious Cluster Program Manager and Incident Commander of Incident Management Team, led the inspection of the facilities to ensure the safety, security, and welfare of patients with “probable” or “suspected” cases to be housed in the facilities and of the medical staff that will attend to patients’ needs.
This is in preparation of the Local Government Unit (LGU)‘s conduct of COVID-19 massive testing on the third week of April.
On Saturday, the City Engineering Office will be reorganizing some setups in the facilities to ensure the Infection Control Plan is followed and for it to be conducive for the patients.
Probable and suspected cases of COVID-19 will be isolated in two separate buildings and a medical staff and security service will be provided 24 hours.
A public address system was also installed inside the facility for faster posting of advisories within the premises. A cellular phone will be provided per isolation room for efficient communication among the health personnel on duty.
The individuals falling under the said cases will be isolated for 14 days and will be provided with food, medical attention, and laundry services until their discharge.
