Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said at his inspection today that the deck slab concreting works at the NLEX Harbor Link C3-R10 Section is now at 100 percent.
“We are glad to announce that another flagship project, the C3-R10 Section of NLEX Harbor Link, is now back on track and is expected to be completed by June 15,” said Secretary Villar.
“When completed, the Harbor Link project is expected to cut travel time from Quezon City to Manila from 2 hours to only 10 minutes,” he added.
The NLEX Corporation has resumed works on the C3-R10 Section, following new DPWH protocols on construction activities.
Secretary Villar noted that the said segment was originally targeted for completion earlier but works were suspended for two (2) months due to restrictions from enhanced community quarantine.
NLEX Harbor Link C3-R10 Section is a 2.6-kilometer,4-lane elevated ramp that will extend NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 to Radial Road 10 (R-10), using C-3 Road as its route.
Once completed, it is expected to provide direct access between the Port Area and the northern provinces of Luzon and cut travel time from Port Area to NLEX to only ten (10) minutes.
