Live-in partners killed, 21 others arrested in Bulacan drug war

CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Two notorious drug dealers in Bulacan province were shot dead on Tuesday as the Bulacan Police Provincial Office intensified its campaign against illegal drugs which also resulted to the arrest of 21 others.

PCol. Lawrence Cajipe, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO said, joint operatives of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and the Pulilan Municipal Police Station (MPS) have conducted a drug operation in Barangay Lumbac, Pulilan, Bulacan and chanced upon live-in partners Froilan Orillosa and Leah Lucas, both included in the PNP-PDEA Unified watch list.

Based on the report of PMaj. Janaky Andrew Jaafar, PIB acting chief, during the buy bust the operatives were about to effect the arrest of Orillosa who fled on board his white Honda CRV with Plate No. XMT-642, together with his live-in partner Lucas. They engaged the pursuing operatives in a firefight. 

The suspect stopped in front of a Pasalubong Center in Barangay Paltao, Pulilan and ran towards a nearby alley where Orillosa was cornered and shot dead, while Lucas wounded inside the vehicle was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

Recovered were nine small and six medium size of heat-sealed sachets of “shabu”; one  Browning Arms 9mm Caliber Pistol; 12 fired cartridge cases of 9mm caliber; one white Honda CRV, with plate No. XMT-642, assorted identification cards; buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, 21 other drug suspects were nabbed in different anti-illegal drugs operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives of Bulacan PIB, City of Malolos, Sta Maria, Plaridel, Norzagaray, City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM), Baliwag, Meycauayan and San Ildefonso PNP. 

They were identified as Maria Christina Laconsay;  Zenaida Lansangan;  Conrado Mojica; Ferdie Sabado; Ramil Palaruan, all are included in PDEA PNP watch list; Ricardo Balite; Arvin Mabait; Mary Grace Cruz, Jomari Espenilla, all are included in the Stations Drug watch list; Arvin Jazver David; Sherwin Bernabe; Rhia Galvez; Jecielito Carpio; Renor Roque; Jimie Bocton; Ronaldo Vidal Crisalyn Abraham; Marvin Lebario; Joey Quitua and Arnold Quijano.

Seized from their possession were 52 heat-sealed sachets of “shabu”; two medium sized sachets of dried “marijuana” leaves; buy-bust money; and assorted drug paraphernalia. 

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for examination. Appropriate criminal charges against the suspects are being prepared for filing court.
