Shabu worth ₱1,360,000 was seized by anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City.
PDEA Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva said the illegal drug was confiscated from suspects identified as Allan Manuel Mendoza, 33 years old; and Vyron Sebastian Flores, 37, both Grab drivers; and Edwin Cruz Pascual, 37 who is into sales marketing. All are residents of Nueva Ecija.
On June 17, 2020 at around 11:50am, elements of PDEA-Special Enforcement Service (PDEA-SES) under Investigation Agent V Rogelito Daculla arrested Mendoza, Flores and Pascual during an entrapment operation in a parking lot of a popular fast food chain along C5 Road, in front of Centennial Village, Taguig City.
Seized from the suspects were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing more or less 200 grams worth ₱1,360,000, a Toyota Innova, a Toyota Vios, two android phones, several identification cards and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Mendoza, Flores and Pascual will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently under the custody of PDEA-SES
