Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Thru the continuous operations of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) under Executive Order No. 70 in Central Luzon, a member of the Komiteng Larangang Gerilya (KLG) Sierra Madre in Aurora voluntarily surrendered on Thursday.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGen Rhodel Sermonia said that the surrenderer was a Political Instructor/Secretary on Committee of Education in the Underground Movement Organization, Sec Gen PAMANA under AMGL and Committee Chairman of AKMA under PAMANA of Sectoral organization and former Political guide of Sentro De Grabidad (SDG) Central Aurora of KLG Sierra Madre under the leadership of Eduardo Jandoc, alias “Joaquin”.
Sermonia also said that the former rebel voluntarily handed over to authorities one (1) 12 gauge improvised shotgun, one (1) hand grenade, different Books materials and subversive documents.
“Our government welcomes with open hands those who want to return to the fold of law at the same time what our RTF ELCAC3 aims is to put a stop to all armed conflicts and convince others to return to the fold of the law while at the same time be able to avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and be given the chance to start their lives anew,” Central Luzon top cop added.
