Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) lauded Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda for the assistance extended to them in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
These ROFs were sent home in the province through the “Balik Pinas, Balik Pampanga Program,” a project initiated by the governor.
In a letter addressed to Governor Pineda, Pastor Napoleon Donado, one of the beneficiaries of the program, admired the governor for looking after the welfare and security of the Kapampangan ROFs.
“Dear Gov. Dennis Pineda and staff, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for allowing us to avail your “Balik Pinas, Balik Pampanga Program.” It is really a blessing to have a governor like you who truly cares for his Cabalens,” the Pastor was quoted as saying in his letter.
Other ROFs also put into writing their salute and appreciation to the staff and other key personnel of the program who continuously serve their fellow Cabalens amid Covid-19 threat.
“Isa po ako sa mga nakinabang sa magandang programa po ninyo Gov. at ako’y taos- pusong nagpapasalamat sa inyo at sa masisipag ninyong mga staff sa pag-aasikaso nila sa amin all the way,” Candida Ligawen wrote in her letter addressed to Governor Pineda.
Governor Pineda meanwhile assured the provincial government will continuously strive to address the needs of the Kapampangans at all times – in times pandemic or not.
“I am very glad that our Cabalens appreciate all our efforts. With or without Covid-19, the provincial government will continue to implement programs for the welfare of our people,” he stated.
As of this writing, the repatriation program has already served a total of 309 ROFs. Of this number, 227 already tested negative and sent home while the remaining 82 are still under quarantine at New Clark City (NCC).
