MANILA – The southwest monsoon affecting Luzon will bring rains over most parts of the island, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
The rains will be light to moderate and at times heavy, said weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Occasional rains will be experienced over the Ilocos region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, and Bataan.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, the Cordillera region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and of Central Luzon, and Calabarzon.
PAGASA expects isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Meanwhile, strong winds will prevail over northern Luzon, where coastal waters will be rough.Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said.
