MANILA – Some parts of the country will experience rains on Saturday due to a low-pressure area (LPA), the southwest monsoon, and the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
In its daily weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was last estimated at 405 km. east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan while the southwest monsoon is affecting southern Luzon and the Visayas.
Both the LPA and the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon regions and the provinces of Occidental Mindoro and Palawan.
There will be cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the Davao and Soccsksargen regions, and the provinces of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur brought by the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 31°C; Tagaytay City, 22°C to 29°C; Puerto Princesa, 25°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 33°C; Cagayan de Oro City, 23°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 32°C. (PNA)
