51 young cancer patients get assistance

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda extended cash assistance and food packs to 51 cancer-stricken children from Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital (JBLMRH).

During the awarding of assistance held at the Benigno Aquino Hall, Capitol Compound, the governor handed P10,000 cash and packs of goods to each young beneficiary.

The food and monetary assistance personally came from the Pineda Family headed by Businessman Rodolfo “Bong” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.

Twelve year old Ian JC Limiac, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the governor for the assistance. He was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissue around the bones, in February 2019.

Walang trabaho kaya walang-wala talaga kami,” Ian’s mother, Cherry, said.

Governor Delta reassured the parents that the provincial government is always open to respond to the needs of the Kapampangans.

Kasama po sa aming obligasyon ang tumulong at umalalay sa inyo,” the governor said.

Lubao Mayor Esmeralda “Esmie” Pineda, who was also present during the awarding event, expressed sympathy with children dealing with cancer and likewise assured to provide the necessary support for them.
