City of San Fernando, Pampanga- A man was arrested on Sunday for directly bribing Police Officers in exchange to the release of suspect who was arrested during the Anti-illegal Gambling Operation in Mexico.
Based on the report submitted to PCOL JEAN S FAJARDO, Provincial Director of Pampanga Police Provincial Office, the suspect was identified as Ramsey Mandani, 32 years old, a resident of Brgy. Buenavista, Mexico, Pampanga.
Mandani was arrested after handing over Forty Thousand Pesos (Php 40,000.00) to police operative inside the Provincial Intelligence Unit Office at Pampanga Police Provincial Office in exchange to the liberty of one Romulo Urdaneta, one of the suspects who was arrested in the illegal cockfighting in Mexico, Pampanga.
Charges for violation of Article 212 or Corruption of Public Official in relation to Article 6 of the Revised Penal Code has been filed in court against the suspect.
This should serve as a stern warning to those who will attempt to undermine the integrity and professionalism of Pampanga Police, in line with the TRES PUNTOS of PNP Chief, PGEN CAMILO PANCRATIUS P CASCOLAN: “Pulis KO’Y, Responsable, Respetado, at Disiplinado.”
