ORANI, Bataan – Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman’s House Bill 8080 has been approved recently at the House of Representatives.
“Inaprubahan na po kahapon ang ating panukalang batas na magsusulong ng inclusive education at magbibigay proteksyon sa karapatan ng mga Learners With Disabilities (LWDs) na makatanggap ng dekalidad ng edukasyon,” Roman said as she revealed this great news thru her Facebook Fan Page.
House Bill 8080 or the Act instituting services for learners with disabilities (LWDs) in support of inclusive education, aims to give free and right education that will meet the needs of LWDs. Inclusive learning resource centers will make the formal school system more accessible for the LWDs.
“Gagawin nitong mas accessible ang formal school system sa pamamagitan ng pagtatatag ng mga Inclusive Learning Resource Centers kung saan available ang mga alternative delivery services para sa mga LWDs.
alalakasin rin nito ang ugnayan ng mga eskwelahan at mga magulang upang masiguro ang kapakanan at higit na pagkatuto ng ating mga LWDs,” Rep. Roman added.
HB 8080 also aims to recognize the vital role of LWDs in society, consider their needs as integral part of national development strategies, and facilitate their active participation and integration in public service, civic and state affairs.
