Twenty-five consular and diplomatic affairs students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) recently called on Ms. Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio (seated in the middle), Charge d’ Affaires of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo. Accompanied by their adviser Ms. Catherine Dee Samaniego (seated 5th from left), the DLS-CSB students are delegates to the National Model United Nations (NMUN) in Kobe, Japan, on 20-26 November 2016. NMUN is the oldest and longest running Model League/Model United Nations organization in the world. Organized by the National Collegiate Conference Association in partnership with the Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, student-delegates to the NMUN Kobe 2016 are expected to discuss matters of global importance. The NMUN Kobe 2016 will also bring the student-delegates to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Japan such as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial as well as shrines, temples, and gardens in the ancient capital of Kyoto.
