Duterte inaugurates two new school buildings in Bulacan

BULAKAN, Bulacan — President Rodrigo R. Duterte inaugurated today the new school buildings of General Gregorio H. Del Pilar Integrated School in Bulakan and Virginia Ramirez-Cruz High School in Pandi.

In his speech, Duterte said the new school buildings are part of the preparations for the resumption of face-to-face classes under the New Normal.

“I assure you that the government is exerting all efforts to go full throttle in this COVID-19 Vaccination Program to ensure the safety of the students before the resumption of the face-to-face learning,” he said.

The Chief Executive furthered that these buildings are example of giving good education to the next generation of Filipinos.

“A good education is a valuable gift that we can proudly pass on to succeeding generations of Filipinos. Let us join hands in developing the full potential of our youth as bearers of our nation’s sustainable future,” he said.

The construction at General Gregorio H. Del Pilar Integrated School involves three units of four-storey school buildings with a total of 60 classrooms.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) earmarked PhP156.4 million for the project under its Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).

Moreover, newly-completed school buildings at Virginia Ramirez-Cruz High School consist of four units with four floors each. It has a total of 80 classrooms.

DPWH allocated PhP177 million for the project under BEFF.

Each new building for both schools is complete with ramps for persons with disability, large male and female restrooms, high security grilles in every floor, fire protection system and close-circuit television.
