For mall security guard Rodel Victorino, honesty is still the best policy.
Or so it was, after Victorino, who is working at SM Center Pulilan returned P46,798 cash to a mall patron last Saturday.
Victorino, who was then assigned in SM Center Pulilan parking area was checking the vicinity when he found a wallet containing various identification cards and the said cash.
Victorino immediately reported the recovered valuables to the mall’s Customer Relations Office (CRS), according to Alvin De Galicia, Assistant Mall Manager.
Later, the bag was returned to the owner identified as Cristan Parajas, a resident of Sta. Maria Bulacan who expressed gratitude to Victorino when he claimed his wallet and money.
Galicia said Victorino’s good deed is another proof to SM Center Pulilan security force’s service and integrity.
It will be recalled that in May 2020, a security officer from the same mall identified as Reynold Gumarang earned praise on social media after he returned a patron‘s wallet containing P36,431.
