Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) donated equipment to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for the new Tech4ED Center located at the DTI Zambales Negosyo Center in Iba town.
DICT Luzon Cluster 2 Regional Director Reynaldo Sy led the ceremonial turn-over of laptops, printer, router, and other essential technical equipment to DTI Regional Director Leonila Baluyut.
“With the equipment lodged in the Negosyo Center, the Tech4ED Center will be utilized to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) improve their visibility on online business platforms and practice e-commerce,” Baluyut said.
“The promotion of e-commerce is one of the key responses of the government to help MSMEs survive and recover from the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she added.
Tech4ED provides access points for individuals and communities to bridge the digital and education divide.
It promotes grassroots development and opportunities for inclusive growth and poverty reduction. (CLJD-PIA 3)
