ARAYAT, Pampanga – “We are aggressive in delivering services to the people. This is our advantage as a young blood.”
Thus said former three-term Councilor Jeff Luriz shortly after filing his certificate of candidacy for vice mayor of Arayat on October 1.
The 46-year-old businessman is running in tandem with Marlon Balagtas, a former three-term Arayat councilor who filed his COC for mayor.
Luriz said they will prioritize health care services and spur the economy of the first-class town.
He said he and his family are building a dialysis center which will primarily cater to less fortunate residents of their town. They will also have a four-storey building in Centro Pangulo for health care
services and a satellite office in Pangulo.
“It will be free for people of Arayat,” added Luriz.
Balagtas and Luriz will run under the Aksyon Demokratiko party.
Included in their line-up for councilors are Edna Mendoza, Marissa Sansano Samson, Genalyn Marquez, Glendale Caparas, Crispin Pulo Cruz, Zaldy Guevarra and Joshua Galang Rodriguez. Gueverra and Marquez are incumbent councilors.
For his part, Balagtas said they will also ensure that peace and order will be attained once they are elected. This, he added, will attract more investors.
Luriz said they will provide a new brand of governance which will “greatly benefit their constituents.”
“We will serve well and we will not ask if they are voters before helping them. We are determined to serve with all our heart all the people of Arayat,” he said.
