Lawy High School dominated the 2021 Consumer Welfare Month (CWM) contests of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac, topping two out of the three categories.
It landed first in the Virtual Quiz Bee and Online Poster Making. Baras-Baras High School got the top prize in Vlogging.
DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez congratulated the students who participated.
“Thank you for helping us raise awareness on consumer protection most importantly in the online platform where majority of transactions happen today,” Ramirez said.
Sta. Rosa National High School secured second place and Tarlac National High School-Main third place in the Virtual Quiz Bee while Anao High School ended second and Tarlac Montessori School settled for third in the Online Poster Making.
Tarlac National High School-Annex secured second place and Don Bosco Technical Institute finished third in the Vlogging contest.
Lawy High School and Baras-Baras High School will represent Tarlac in the regional contest.
This year’s CWM celebration carries the theme “Digital Consumers: The New Normal”. It focuses on consumers’ rights and responsibilities in purchasing products online.
