EDSA inspects infra projects

Following his visit at the on-going construction sites of the City Market Plaza and Civic Center expansion, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago continued with the series of inspections on his administration’s major infrastructure projects.

Santiago, along with City heads of offices and top officials of the project’s sponsor – SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SMPH), visited the almost-complete Giant Lantern and Tourist Information Center and amphitheater in the former Paskuhan Village.

The City Mayor expressed gratitude to SMPH, citing that “this marks a deeper partnership between the City and the firm in building projects that promote both contemporary and cultural developments.”

Mayette Eborde, Senior Assistant Vice President of SMPH’s SM Development Corporation, said the project’s launch in May will push through as it is 93 percent complete. The workers are now on the finishing touches and road/parking works.

“[SMPH] will definitely be in attendance during the launch because it is a great opportunity for the firm to build this kind of building and we appreciate the government’s support,” she said.

In the coming weeks, Santiago is set to visit other projects including the City Riverwalk and City Nursery.
