Fair weather with chances of rain is expected across the country, according to the weather bureau on Thursday.
“Chances of rains due to thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening in the Visayas and Mindanao,” said Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“No low pressure area or weather disturbance was seen inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,” he added.
Aurelio said the frontal system continues to affect extreme northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Batanes, Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte.
“Thunderstorms are highly likely in the afternoon or evening in these areas. Expect light to moderate, to at times heavy rains,” Aurelio said.
Meanwhile, up to 33 °C temperature is forecast in Metro Manila, Legazpi, Kalayaan Islands, and Tuguegarao and up to 23 °C in Baguio.
Iloilo, Davao and Zamboanga’s temperature may reach up to 33 °C.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas continue to prevail over extreme northern Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
