New Clark City sustains development amid pandemic – BCDA

CAPAS, Tarlac — New Clark City (NCC) continues developing amid the pandemic.

Bases Conversion and Development Authority Senior Vice President Arrey Perez confirmed this during a press conference in line with the re-opening of NCC to the public.

He said there are no revisions in the master plan.

“During the pandemic, we fast tracked everything. It gave us time to build those things that are necessary in the master plan ahead of schedule, such as the utility corridors, expansion of road for accessibility, and everything to enhance the place,” Perez disclosed.

Included in the additional development are open space for concerts and booths, and River Park, which displays art installations and sculptures of Filipino artists.

Perez noted that there has been a balance of development for the vertical and the horizontal growth of the place.

“Due to the pandemic we cannot invite our locators, tenants, and lessees in so they cannot construct but, everything that was delayed in the vertical growth we transferred to the horizontal growth,” he emphasized.

With this, he invited the public to visit and see for themselves world-class facilities constructed in an effort to build a green and sustainable metropolis to decongest Metro Manila.

“NCC is now open and we are more than happy to share with you the experience,” he said.
