Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia and Mayor-elect Herman “Tong” Santos on Monday led the distribution of checks for the financial assistance of the second batch of the beneficiaries of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) held at the Dinalupihan Bulwagan ng Bayan.
Garcia and Santos were joined by SB Member Sherry De Ausen, Sangguninang Kabataan President Aries Atencio, PESO Dinalupihan chief Hector Lintag, SPES Focal Person DOLE Bataan Maria Eloisa Mercado and Alternate SPES Focal Person DOLE Bataan Mary Ann Rivera in simple distribution rites.
She said that this was the second batch consisted of 992 students and each received 40% financial assistance worth Php 3,780.40. Previously, the LGU started distributing the 40% financial assistance to the previous batch last April 11th of this year.
“I am very thankful that our town has this program because it is a big help to us financially especially in our studies,” says Miss Vanessa, one of SPES beneficiaries for the past four years.
Mayor Gila added that this educational program is just one of their priority projects that provides quality services to raise the standard of living of every family in her town.
