Heaven and Markus believe in ‘love in the digital age’

Heaven Peralejo, Markus Patterson, Nonie Buencamino, and Paolo Gumabao topbill new episodes of “MMK” on online dating and unconditional love of father and son this August on “MMK.”

Heaven and Markus both believed that people could find love online, especially during this pandemic, like their characters Wena and Greg, whose love story will be featured this Saturday (August 6).

For Heaven, she believes people might find their loved ones through social media, but she likes that her future suitor should still go to her house and get her mother’s approval.

“I do believe that you can get to know each other online pero kapag magdate kayo outside dapat magpakita rin siya sa bahay at manligaw. But normal na generation ngayon yung online dating so naniniwala ako rito,” she said.

Markus revealed that he is clingy and does not like online dating but still respects people who find love online.

“I value being with someone physically since it’s my love language. Medyo clingy kasi ako pero personally ko itong choice,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Nonie and Paolo, who will play father and son in a story on how they accepted each other’s sexuality and profession this August 20 (Saturday), described how viewers would easily relate to the story of James and Eduardo.

“I can relate to James kasi mahal na mahal ko rin yung dad ko. I grew up with my step-father since I was born and grabe yung ginawa niya na tinanggap niya yung isang bata na hindi naman sa kanya,” said Paolo.

“Kwento ito ng mag-ama and yung pagmamahal nila sa isa’t isa para magkaroon ng lakas ng loob mabuhay. Makikita mo sa kwento and makakarelate ka and mga mag-ama rito kung paano sila nagbabago para masuportahan ang isa’t isa,” Nonie added.

Aside from the episodes of Markus and Heaven and Paolo and Nonie, viewers should also relive the episode of Bela Padilla, wherein she played a mother with a hunchback and her struggles raising her child on August 13 (Saturday).

Also, re-watch the success story of Hershey (Ria Atayde) and how she was able to get her siblings a better life after being battered by their own mother on August 27 (Saturday).

Watch “MMK,” Saturdays, 8PM on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live YouTube channel, ABS-CBN Entertainment Facebook page, and iWantTFC. For viewers outside of the Philippines, catch it on The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.
