Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the construction of a dialysis center in Sta. Maria, Bulacan is now 89 percent complete.
The one-storey infrastructure is being implemented by DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office.
District Engineer George Santos said the facility has a total floor area of 788.2 square meters and can accommodate up to 34 patients.
“I am pleased with the progress of the project. But we are aware of the importance of this facility to dialysis patients living in Sta. Maria and nearby areas in the 6th district of Bulacan hence, the assigned project engineer has been instructed to speed up the construction process,” Santos said.
“Once the dialysis center opens, patients no longer need to travel to other municipalities for their treatment thus providing convenience to them as well as their companions,” he added.
P19 million was earmarked for the project under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
