CAMP OLIVAS — Hours after two Mabalacat police officers were shot to death in the business district of Barangay Dau, in Mabalacat City, three of the five suspects were immediately arrested after extensive follow-up operations.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Cesar R. Pasiwen announced on Saturday afternoon, the apprehension of three suspects identified as Jun Jun Espiritu Baluyut, 44 years old, resident of Xevera Subdivision, Brgy, Tabun, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; Aries Espiritu Bagsic, 40 years old, married, electrician, resident of Brgy. Lakandula, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; and Leslie Placiente, 30 years old, female, single, online seller and resident of Brgy. Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga.
The trio were arrested in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga while one orange-colored Honda Click with bloodstains believed to be one of the motorcycles used by the suspects was seized from Baluyut.
Other suspects are being hunted down by police authorities. Pasiwen identified them as Kenneth Flores, Kiel Patrick Chua alias “Kelkel” and a certain alias “Pusa.”
The service firearm of one of the slain cops was recovered in the roof gutter of the house owned by Flores and based on the confession of Baluyut, the other three are their cohorts.
“We will have no respite until all the perpetrators are caught and even if two of our members were killed in line with our diligent efforts to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs, still we are committed in our waging war against this menace. We will continue to be relentless in our campaign at all costs,” according to Pasiwen.
