Baby rescued from kidnapper

CAMP OLIVAS – Elements of the Angeles City police had arrested a 22-year-old call center agent after she ran away with a newborn baby boy in Angeles City.

Reports have it that the woman identified as Vanessa Paras of 380 Apt. A. Volga St., Bgy. Anunas, Angeles City, befriended a certain the 29-year-old mother of the baby boy who was not immediately identified.

The baby boy’s mother, a massage therapist and a native of Bgy. Macarascas, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, was deceived by the suspect to give birth at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center in Angeles City.

Paras reportedly took the baby after the mother gave birth at the RLMMC.

The mother told police that prior to the taking of her baby, she got acquianted with Paras through the social media because she was looking for a job to sustain her medical and financial needs during her pregnancy.

The mother said Paras had provided everything for her needs including travel expenses from Palawan to Angeles City and had been promised a job.

After the mother gave birth to the baby boy, the suspect allegedly falsified documents of the new-born child and took the baby while the mother is still recovering at the hospital.

The distraught mother sought police assistance who immediately located and arrested Paras, who will be charged with violation of Art 270 of Revised Penal Code (Kidnapping and failure to return a minor) and violation of R.A. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Person).
