CAMP OLIVAS – Nearly 500 individuals were arrested, including 28 of the most wanted in the region while several guns, and illegal drugs had been seized in the 4-day police operations in Central Luzon.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said the strings of operations were implemented to support the directive of PNP Chif Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. to intensify, reinvigorate and focus on the anti-crime and insurgency efforts of the PNP as part of his 5-focused agenda.
Hidalgo has ordered all provincial directors and chiefs-of-police to conduct intensified Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) as part of the crime-mitigation drive of the PNP.
Hidalgo has also issued a warning to all criminals the full arm of the law will be used against them should they still prefer to continue disrupting peace and order in the region.
The CL top cop reported that from July 19 to 22, his men have arrested a total of 488 individuals, 28 of them are most wanted, 146 have standing warrant of arrests for various crimes, 184 were held for illegal drugs, 127 were apprehended for illegal gambling and three were listed as members of criminal gangs.
He added they also confiscated a total of 724.97 grams of shabu and 54.40 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth at least P4,636,205.20, and P51,389.00 cash bets. 32 assorted loose firearms were also confiscated and surrendered while 94 firearms were turned-in for safe keeping.
Hidalgo noted these anti-crime accomplishments were the results of the strong support from the local chief executives as he called for the public’s full support and cooperation.
