10 ex-rebels surrender in CL

CAMP OLIVAS — PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said the unwavering efforts of the PNP to support RTF-ELCAC resulted in the surrender of 10 former members of leftist groups in Central Luzon.

In Tarlac, two former ANAKPAWIS members known by their aliases “Cilong” and “Lanting,” withdrew their support from their group operating in Moncada, Tarlac. 

The two also  turned over one rifle-propelled grenade to the police.

An ex-red fighter identified as “Ka Mike” belonging to the KLG-TARZAM operating in Tarlac and Zambales also surrendered to authorities. 

He handed over one homemade caliber 38 revolver, one rifle-propelled grenade, two meters of firing wire with blasting cap, 10 inches of commercial time fuse, and one 9-volt battery power source.

Three former members of terror group Narciso Antazo Aramil  command and one member of the Eduardo Dagli command in Bulacan voluntarily turned themselves in to the police. 

They surrendered a .45 pistol with a magazine loaded with three live bullets, a hand grenade, and a rifle grenade with a bullet trap.

The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 also facilitated the withdrawal of support of alias “Opring” to his group Militiang Bayan in San Jose, Tarlac.

In Bataan, two former members withdrew their support from ANAKPAWIS and pledged allegiance back to the government.

“We warmly welcome our fellow Filipinos back to our side and reunited with their families. The police and other government agencies will gladly assist their reintegration into their communities,” said Hidalgo Jr.
