Woman in P27M swindling case nabbed

CAMP OLIVAS — The Cabanatuan City police arrested a woman allegedly involved in a large-scale estafa scheme amounting to at least P27,000,000 in Nueva Ecija.

The suspect was identified as Jerrymie Gentio alias “Emeng,” 26, an online seller, allegedly lured seven victims from Nueva Ecija with the promise of a 10 percent interest per day on their investments.

However,  the promised return of investment never materialized, leaving the victims in a state of financial distress.

Another 26 additional victims told police thay have also  fallen victim to the fraudulent scheme of the suspect.

Authorities  apprehended the suspect at her residence in Leonor Village, Purok 8, Brgy. Aduas Sur, Cabanatuan City.

The Cabanatuan City police urged other victims to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
