A Grade 11 student has died while another one survived in a drowning incident at a beach in Bgy. 6, San Miguel, San Antonio, Zambales, on Thursday.
The fatality was identified as Alexuz Gabriel Evangelista, 16, of Purok 4, Bgy. San Nicolas, San Antonio; while Eugene Lee, 16, of Purok 7, Bgy. San Nicolas survived.
Police said two victims together with their companions went swimming at the San Miguel beach.
The two victims were swept away by strong waves pulling them towards the deep portion of the beach.
Lee managed to swim towards the shoreline and survived but Evangelista went missing.
