Fisherman shot dead, one hurt in Sasmuan

A fishpond owner on Saturday shot dead one of his workers and injured another who were harvesting at a fishpond in Sasmuan, Pampanga.

The fatality was identified as fisherman Jofer Lobo, 38; while the injured was  Russel Bonifacio, 50, also a fisheman, both of Bgy. Malusac, Sasmuan, Pampanga.

Police were told the two victims were harvesting at a fishpond owned by  Fernando M. Limpin III, of Bgy. San Nicolas 2nd, Sasmuan.

When Limpin saw the two men, he fired shots at them hitting Lobo in the chest who died on the spot, while

Bonifacio was hit in the hip.

Both were rushed to the  Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao, Pampanga, where Lobo was declared dead upon arrival.

The police are now tracking down the suspect who is allegedly the employer of the victims.
