Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a two-storey multipurpose building at barangay San Juan in Moncada, Tarlac.
The infrastructure seeks to enhance the healthcare system in the community.
DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said the P5.84-million facility will improve the delivery of health services to residents of San Juan and nearby communities.
“Given its ample space, the building can also accommodate other socio-civic events that foster community development beyond health awareness campaigns,” Farala furthered.
Jocelyn Llana, a Barangay Health Worker, shared that she used to move around frequently because she does not have a permanent office for the health center.
“Napupunta po ako kung saan-saan gaya na lamang po sa Daycare kapag wala pong klase, Library at napunta rin po ako sa Barber shop kaya naman naging malaking tulong sa akin ang Barangay Health Center na ito,” she shared.
The project is in line with DPWH’s commitment to deliver quality infrastructure aimed at strengthening and improving the quality of life in the local community. (CLJD-PIA 3)
