A palay trader on Wednesday was shot by two robbers on a highway in Nueva Ecija.
The Nueva Ecija police identified the victim as Victor Paynor, 47, of Bgy. San Vicente, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The San Isidro police said the victim was driving an Izusu Elf truck going to Bgy. Parcutela, Gapan City, when two men on a motorcycle with sidecar blocked him then declared a hold up.
The two suspects took from Paynor the P300,000 cash then fired shots at the victim before escaping.
The victim was immediately brought to the N. E. Medics hospital in Bgy. Alua, San Isidro by responding SIPS personnel for medical treatment.
Police found two fired cartridge cases for .45 at the crime scene.
