First Lady Liza Marcos, Devanadera grace furniture show

PASAY CITY — In support of Filipino craftsmanship, First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera graced the Philippine International Furniture Show (PIFS) 2024 which showcases the works of some 200 exhibitors at the SMX Convention Center here on March 7.

Their presence at the PIFS 2024 opening ceremonies echoed President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.’s recent enactment of the “Tatak Pinoy (Proudly Filipino) Act,” which aims to elevate the standard and competitiveness of Philippine products and services by fostering stronger collaboration between government agencies and the private sector.

Now in its 32nd edition, PIFS 2024 showcases the talents of both local and international designers, manufacturers, and exporters from March 7-9. PIFS serves as a vital platform for networking, innovation, and industry growth according to PIFS 2024 organizers.

Event organizers include the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation Inc. (CFIFI), the Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation (PFIF), and Global-Link MP, a subsidiary of MP International Pte. Ltd.

In a related development, the CDC and the Philippine Exporters Foundation Region III (Philexport Region III) signed a lease agreement for the expansion of the Deco Central Showroom in Clark Freeport on February 20, 2024.

The state-of-the-art showroom amplifies opportunities for furniture makers, home furnishing providers, and other home décor producers from Pampanga and Central Luzon.
